My daughter is now 4 1/2 yrs. old and I have been involved in her life since the day she was born. When she was 2 1/2 I stopped living with her and her mother and moved back in with my parents, but I was still getting along with the mother enough to see my daughter pretty much every day, and also paying child support according to my support order. Every so often though, the mother would get mad at me for reasons unknown to myself and would threaten me with my daughter, but usually only for a day or two maximum. I decided that I wanted to get a custody agreement documented by the court so that the mother wouldn't be able to threaten me anymore. So, I went to my local Pro Bono office and got put on a waiting list for two months. About a month after I finally talked to the lawyer she let me know that the hearing would be in about another month and so at that point I had to tell the mother, before she got the papers in the mail. She didn't really even let me explain much before she started screaming for me to leave the house and telling me that if I wanted to see my daughter I would have to get an attorney. All I wanted was to get a custody arrangement that we already have between the two of us documented. But, now it's been two weeks and the mother won't answer or return my phone calls. Every day I call to ask to speak to my daughter, so that the mother doesn't try to say that I didn't try to get a hold of my daughter. I am really having a hard time not being able to see my daughter, she is my life, and without her I don't know what to do. The court hearing isn't until Jan. 4th and it is now the day after Thanksgiving and I don't want to have to miss another day of not seeing my daughter, especially over Christmas. What can I do?
