I've been on here, doing ALOT of reading... the most I've come up with about children and their ages vary. A judge will listen to children 12 and up... however until they are 18, they "by law" have no actual decision in where they live. If their mother is proven unfit (abusive, drugs.. etc) then you have grounds to stand on. Again, the judge will listen to what the children have to say, however if she is found fit and there is no cause to remove them from the home... then she will be awarded custody. I wish you the best of luck! *keep an eye on the childrens behavior, if it's changing for the worse, their grades etc... everything helps!*
